Most people underestimate how much a spouse will impact every area of their life: spiritual, physical, emotional, relational, etc. And, knowing what I know about my wife (her character, her devotional life, her love for Jesus/people/family), there’s no one else I’d rather have impacting, influencing and changing me than Jesus and her!Tonight, I got to visit the church that God used strongly in my spiritual development and growth. From the age of 13 to 18, I was here most Sunday evenings and Monday evenings. Though we were young, we were given many opportunities to preach, make altar calls, pray for people. Whether we were ready or not, we were challenged to step out and minister. Over those years, more than 50 pastors and youth pastors were developed here, who are actively serving churches today all over the US. Thank you Bread of Life Church for your impact in my life.Between 1933 and 1945, Poland, Ukraine and the surrounding region was the most dangerous place on Earth. Over 14 million non-combatants were killed by Stalinist Soviet Union and Hitler’s Nazi Germany. Reading this book makes me realize why Soviet Christians refused to take weapons, even to the point of being imprisoned and killed, because otherwise they’d be carrying out orders to kill non-combatants who were Jewish, Polish, were part of the educated class or were priests. This book makes me angry. And to see Stalin being honored again in some parts of the world and Russia makes me scared.
