There seems to be Conflicting scriptures about End Times
Some scriptures say:
2 Tim 3:1-5
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
Mathew 24:12
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
Luke 18:8 When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth
2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers. And they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
But also:
Daniel: but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.
Joel 2:28 And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. And your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions
Rev 3:16: ‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth
Judging by the scriptures, my conclusion, is that in the End Times, which is today, there will be 3 types of people:
1. Heathen and the cold
2. Lukewarm Church
3. Bride of Christ, passionate and on Fire for Christ.
I don’t believe God is coming back for a lukewarm Bride. In Revelations, God says “I will spit you out” if you are lukewarm. Jesus has been preparing a place for bride, the church, for 2000 years, and I don’t believe He will come back for a bride that’s sleeping, not ready.
What I do believe is that while the world, and the standards of the secular culture will get worse, and there will be a lukewarm church, I do believe there will be a remnant, a Holy People, a church passionately in love with Jesus, growing, evangelizing, and reaching the lost.
Will there be a “fading away?” Yes, in the world.
Will there be a world wide revival and everyone will come to Christ? No, no evidence for that in the scripture.
Will there be a church that’s on fire, experiencing revival? Yes.
I believe:
Best songs are yet to be written
Best sermons are yet to be preached
Greatest crusades are yet to be held
Best books are yet to be written
Most influential churches are yet to be started
Greatest miracles are yet to be seen
Jesus said in John 14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these. Jesus fed 5,000 people. Jesus raised the dead. And I believe great miracles are yet to be seen. But I also believe the greatest miracle is people coming to the Lord. Angels don’t rejoice in heaven when someone is healed. Angels rejoice in heaven when one sinner repents.
Oral Roberts was once asked if he would want to go back to the days when he was young, when he was conducting the “miracle crusades.” His answer was very simple. NO. He said, “during those days, I was one of the few ones conducting miracle crusades. Now, every Sunday, all over the world, there are people coming to the Lord, people receiving healing.”
It’s not gloom and doom. Unless you decide to be part of the lukewarm church.
The person who mentored me when I was a really young, Pavel Radchuk (he died in a plane crash) always used to pray, “Lord, I pray that I will not be lukewarm, but be part of your move.” You’ve got a choice. You either are part of God’s move, or be lukewarm.
